I grew up a farm boy in Idaho. I got my BFA from Boise State in 1976 with a focus on Printmaking. I worked as a metal fabricator in Todd’s Shipyard, was a magazine photographer for EH Publications, worked as a general contractor, cabinetmaker, and custom furniture builder. Then I moved into fine furniture and architectural detailing and wood finishing consulting, and started teaching. I’ve taught wood finishes, furniture building, restoration, metal finishes and patinas, woodturning and more. I’ve been with Pratt since 2014 teaching in the sculpture and woodworking departments.
