Pratt's Youth Fundamentals of Art classes, offered during the school year on Saturdays and Sundays, invite youth ages 5-13 to explore self-expression through painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. With our Pay-What-You-Can model, we strive to make these creative experiences accessible to all. In these inclusive, hands-on classes, students dive into the elements and language of art while discovering a variety of styles and techniques. This supportive environment encourages young artists to freely express their creativity and explore their unique artistic voices, making it an ideal entry point for anyone interested in art.
Pratt's Family + Me program creates a welcoming space for parents, family members, and mentors to connect and create art alongside their youth or teens. Available in various disciplines across all our studios, this program fosters collaboration and shared creative experiences. The class fee covers both the student (ages 13-17) and one accompanying adult or caregiver and includes all necessary supplies. This inclusive program encourages families to bond through art, exploring different mediums together in a supportive environment. Age requirements vary by class, ensuring a suitable experience for all participants.
Pratt’s Teen Program offers an inclusive space for teens (ages 13-17) to explore art in a professional studio environment. Designed to foster creativity and critical thinking, the program helps students develop problem-solving and risk-taking skills in a safe environment while expressing their thoughts and feelings through art. By engaging teens in the art-making process, Pratt encourages their academic and personal growth. Committed to racial equity, Pratt actively works to break down systemic barriers and create equitable opportunities for all, ensuring a supportive and empowering environment for every young artist.
