Pratt Now Accepting Scholarship Applications for 2014-2015

Pratt is proud to offer three merit-based awards to artists in the coming year. Awards are used towards classes and studio rental at Pratt and are available for emerging and established artists. Some awards include a cash stipend.

The ArtBridge Fellowship provides educational and professional support to emerging artists from Washington State, thanks to generous support from RBC Wealth Management and the Chihuly Garden in Glass. The awards may be used towards course work, supplies, and studio rental (with completion of rental test) and participation in Artist Trust’s EDGE Program. The Fellowship includes educational experiences including gaining technical expertise, professional training, access to equipment, and an opportunity to engage with Pratt’s artistic community. Recipients will also be featured in a public presentation at the Chihuly Garden in Glass. For more information and to apply, please download the 2014 ArtBridge application.

The Seattle Print Arts Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship for use in printmaking programs at Pratt. Applicants must show a dedicated interest in and commitment to printmaking.  Previous involvement with Pratt is not required.  Thanks to the support of Seattle Print Arts, Pratt is pleased to award this annual scholarship in printmaking. For more information and to apply, please download the 2014 SPA Scholarship application.

The Jon and Mary Shirley Glass Scholarship is awarded annually to two emerging glass artists 18 years or older who wish to pursue new or experimental directions with their medium, either independently in the glass shop or through glass classes or workshops. Each award includes $1,875 credit for classes, workshops and/or studio rental in the Pratt glass program. This scholarship is not awarded to individuals pursuing production work. For more information and to apply, please download the 2014 Jon and Mary Shirley Glass Scholarship application.
